Kimonos MG is a mid-rise residential development located in a dense urban neighborhood of Larnaca. The building is designed to respond to its heterogeneous context—nestled between older single-family homes and apartment blocks—through a façade system that introduces rhythm, texture, and privacy. The project features a vertical composition of sliding and fixed panels, combining raw concrete and red ceramic perforated screens. These dynamic elements offer shading and enclosure while creating a playful dialogue with the sun throughout the day. The ceramic inserts reinterpret traditional Cypriot craft through a contemporary lens, contributing both tactility and cultural depth. The layout includes a range of apartment types, all oriented to maximize natural ventilation and daylight. Balconies are recessed for protection from the street while still offering outdoor living spaces. The rooftop is programmed with communal amenities and planting, providing panoramic views of the city and coastline. Kimonos MG is a celebration of material simplicity and modular urban design—bringing refinement and identity to a compact Larnaca neighborhood.
