Residence LD is a compact urban dwelling designed for a half-plot site in Larnaca, where spatial constraints became the springboard for architectural innovation. The project reimagines the half-plot typology by organising the ground floor as a flexible base layer: a generous double parking area fronts the street, while the rear is lifted on pilotis, accommodating shaded entertainment and workspaces — including a home office and a small pool — that connect directly to the garden. This open plinth creates a dynamic interface between private and social life. Above, the two-storey residence is arranged around a dramatic double-height dining space, which brings light deep into the plan and enhances the sense of volume. Clean horizontal lines, rhythmic timber cladding, and carefully placed openings give the façade a refined urban presence. Residence LD is a study in vertical layering, functional versatility, and contemporary elegance — proving that limited plots can yield expansive living.
