Faneromeni Heights is a small-scale residential project in an established urban neighbourhood, composed of two closely related buildings conceived as a unified ensemble rather than independent objects. The development accommodates a deliberately limited number of dwellings—four apartments in one building and six in the other—allowing the project to retain a domestic scale while fostering a strong sense of permanence and long-term inhabitation. The project is envisioned as a set of lifetime homes, designed to support residents through changing family structures and everyday needs over time. The residential programme includes full-floor apartments and duplex units with private roof gardens, prioritising spatial generosity, adaptability, and a strong connection between interior living spaces and the outdoors. Rather than maximising unit count, the design focuses on comfort, flexibility, and the quality of everyday domestic life. Architecturally, the buildings are defined by a clear and restrained language. Thin horizontal slabs, expressed structural elements, and generous open verandas articulate the volumes while emphasising lightness and horizontality. Materials are left legible and understated, reinforcing a sense of honesty and clarity in construction. Deep balconies and permeable edges enhance natural light, cross-ventilation, and extended outdoor living, responding directly to the local climate. Landscape elements are integrated throughout the building envelope, with planting embedded into terraces and roof gardens to soften the architecture and extend living spaces outward. Faneromeni Heights reflects an approach to residential architecture that prioritises longevity, climatic responsiveness, and spatial clarity, positioning the building as a calm and durable framework for everyday life.
